Bergen Day 2

09/12
Norway in a Nutshell

Supposed to wake up at 6am i think. but i only woke up at 6.30am. Wash up and went to check my watch to realise that it is only i'm an hour early! my watch is based on the time in Finland and not Norway. sigh...could have slept more.
No one on the streets!!

Nice McDonald's right?

Others might thought this is the night time of Bergen when it is actually the day time!

Went to the ferry terminal to get our tickets for the Norway in a Nutshell.
Seeing that we have some time to spare so we went to the Fish market just beside the Fish n Chips stall.woohoo!!!
Salmon and friends. The best daylight picture we have. it is around 8am. and we are rushing to the train station. No idea why our credit cards cannot use. So we decided to buy the tickets on the train. But we have to buy ticket at the counter so we alight at the next station. Still cannot use the credit cards. So we have no choice but to buy the tickets at Voss. Luckily we have the friendly conductor helping us along the journey. *drool*

Our bus journey begins at Voss. We are taking it the the ferry terminal. The water is so clear that we can see the reflection.

We are so excited about this!
Ran out of the bus and kept taking pictures here and there. Finally, got off the bus. Next we have to wait for the ferry to come.

The seat is so cold!!Here comes our ferry.

We have comfortable sofa to sit but we chose to stand at the deck for the next 2 hours.
The view is totally fantastic! This is the deer.
The captain suddenly open the door and ask us to look at the deer. Scared us a little. hahaha....The captain once again opened his door to ask us to look at the pile of stones. It is a viking tomb. It might belong to the chief since it is so big.

The captain came out again to ask us which country we were from. He said the captains like to guess where do the tourists come from. However, none of the captains were right.

I love this picture.

Reaching!
Saw the same captain again at the exit. he is so tall!! We are not even anywhere near his shoulders. He laughed at our height difference too.

Flam train station!

We arrived at 1.15pm but the train only leave at 2.50pm. What a long wait. The only hotel on the town.

A very small and beautiful town.

Our lunch. Salmon sandwich.

Finally, we are boarding the Flam railway. The steepest railway.
It is going slow and steady. Nothing like roller coaster but it so amazing because you are traveling between mountains.

The waterfall.
It is snowing at the moment!!
There are actually no water at the waterfall. It is so cold that the water had became ice. Amazing..

Really an unexpected weather at Mydral.Snow mountain.
So amazing! Do you know what the mountain is not fully white? it is because there are trees. wow.. i only realise it now. Snow snow snow!

Took the don't know how many hours back to Bergen. Slept the whole journey.

Again, it is the night view of Bergen.
Really had nothing much to do till we found the Ginger Bread House. All of the houses are made of the ginger cookie.
Really really amazing.I like this one. Ginger Bread soldiers.

This one is interesting too.

The view of Bergen. Cool!

Kids playing the flute. Sound quite good. Must have practice for very long.

Colosseum of Rome!
Really really innovative.

They even have mushroom.

End of our little adventure. Btw, it really smells good inside. Made me so hungry.

The drain of Bergen.

Lost my camera cover yesterday. Went back to ask the Fish n Chips boss but didn't find any. ):Went into this cosplay shop. Many interesting costumes and wigs.

It is raining quite heavily. on and off. and the wind is really strong!!

Our dinner. He even gave us a free drink. Norwegian are really nice.

Brought it back to our hostel to enjoy. Really not easy to bring it back. Our hands are freezing and the hostel door is so heavy. Had a hard time getting back home.

New room mates. Backpackers. Their bag is so big that it can't even go into the locker. Had an early night because we are really really tired. This time round, i made sure i set the right alarm.
