Day 7 10/15
Riga
Took the night bus from Tallinn to Riga. 4 and 1/2 hours journey. The bus is comfy. I think i can sleep well any where. haha. I drank 2 cups of hot chocolate and even get 1 cup down the bus. drank so quickly that i burned my tongue. (:
Reached Riga at 5am so had to linger at the bus station. once again, i fell asleep.
Placed our bag at the locker at Riga. It weighs about 8kg. haha...I stored gold inside.
Basically, we walked wherever we want to. Lazy to take out the map. At the end of the day we were so familiar with the city center.
We first spotted the Monument to Freedom
There are 2 guards standing there. Poor thing. have to stand in the cold for so long.
There is a crow at the upper window. how spooky.

No idea that the sleeve my jacket is actually glow in the dark.
There is even a lift for us to go up. haha.. the elevator woman says it is 75m high. but i think he is a guy.
Even the gate is so beautiful
This uncle playing the recorder is able to attract the pigeons. I even saw the pigeon standing on top of his yellow cap.

I love this building.
They look ordinary but i think they are actors. I saw a guy reading from the paper. looks like memorising script. and there are cameras and mikes around.
Stockmann!! Autumn sale i think.
Economic Crisis? No way.
Spent most of our time in Stockmann. haha...
from tallinn to riga to helsinki. Girls are born to be shopaholic.
The sky turned dark by the time we finished our shopping.
The music ended by the time we got there at 7.35pm. ):
But we managed to catch itat 8.30pm!!

We were chatting about how we often see this in movies.
Went for a walk around the city center again since we have nothing to do.
Comparing Tallinn and Riga, I like Tallinn. Riga have a lot of stray cats. and they are very scary and active. i was really scared whenever i saw one running towards my direction.
This bus station is also scary. I fell asleep at the bus station. But after a while i got woke up by the cold. At 12mn, the guard came to check our boarding pass. Perhaps to prevent people from sleeping in the bus station. Anyway, there is this woman coming up to us and pass us her bread. Maybe she scared we are hungry. then she sit beside and talk to us. But i don't know what the guard says to her. She suddenly take her things and go to the bench opposite us to sleep.. weird...
I seriously think the whole bus station is very weird. So i went to stand at the door so that i can leave immediately when my bus is approaching. But it can't be open! I was so scared... All the gate is locked. Guards nowhere to be seen. ): Fortunately someone wants to come in and the guard came over to unlock the door. Felt so much better when i'm outside.
And our bus is late! stood in the cold for almost half an hour. it is like back to Rovaniemi. haha. just when i thought the bus will be comfortable, i was wrong. The bus stinks. The toilet stink. Guess their journey from Vilnius to Riga is really long enough to get the whole bus so stinky. And there is no hot chocolate. ):
