Pyhäinpäivä (Saint's Day)

Today is the day where Finns celebrate the death of the relatives. They will light up candles at the grave and the church would have some events.

It should be quite a big event for the Finns because all shops are closed today!

Martti and Liisa picked us up at 1pm! (:Went to the forest for a little walk.
It is really cold! -1 degree.
It is quite far away from the city of Lappeenranta, in the direction of St Petersberg.

Liisa went to pick the berries. the water have became ice.
but the ice is still thin. so for every steps she took, she is into the water.

There is a picnic place in this forest. there are 2 girls roasting the sausages. and while we are chatting, one of the girl's sausage broke into half and fell into the fire. and saw the whole process! she only manage to save half of it.

We have our own picnic too!
warm berry juice and cookies! it is really very nice!! (:
Nice to eat it in the cold.

Back home at Kimonkatu!Liisa gave us extra socks to wear. and this is mine. so cute..

This is a small part of their garden. See the CDs hanging there? it is to keep the birds away from the berries during winter.

haha. i got a shock actually. i really thought there was something flying there. the strings were so invisible.

Played with some puzzles. to form a cube out of the 6 puzzles.

BBQ for us too!
It is in the sauna room but no sauna today.

my face is quite close to the fire and it is burning.. best place for facial.

It doesn't really look filling right?
But it is a feast for us!My stomach is so full that i don't even feel like moving away from the chair.

We also watch Mrs. Bucket. which is supposed to pronounce as bukee. American comedy. It is quite funny for an afternoon laugh. I am fighting with my eyelids. Don't understand why i'm always so tired after a meal.


We also watched some documentary. Then there was bungee jumping. We were quite engrossed in it. Liisa even ask if we would do it in future.
