Lappeenranta - Rovaniemi - Prisma
Lappeenranta - Rovaniemi - Prisma
Took a night train from Lappeenranta to Rovaniemi.
1st: Lappeenranta to Lathi 2 hours
Played card games. Nils really want to play. So we just play along. but we are actually very tired. ):
2nd: Lahti to Riihimaki 20 mins
The Germans add sandwich. They brought a lot! Their bags have nothing but sandwiches.
3rd: Tampere to Rovaniemi 11 hours!
The first picture of snow i took when i woke up from the 11 hours of sleep! It was quite noisy actually.. but i was too tired. felt asleep right after i closed my eyes.
We have a sink in the cabin!! able to wash up and brush my teeth. No toilet though. But the common toilet is only few steps away so not much trouble.

Our hostel. Very nice place with breakfast buffet. Filled my stomach to the fullest every morning. 2 sandwich, 1 bowl of cereal, 1 cup of yogurt, 1 cup of tea and some cakes and cookies..
The first thing we did in Rovaniemi is to go Prisma. haha... They want to get me a jacket. Guess i was not well prepared for the harsh winter ahead.
Nils became a 3 year old kid when he sees snow!Sandwiches for dinner today!! The cheapest and easiest way to settle fill our stomach. The Germans were eating raw carrots!! I was so worried for their teeth when i hear the sound. Apparently it is very common to eat raw carrot in Germany.
Played card games again. hahaha...Set off to see Northern light at -4 degrees. No luck as the moon is very bright!
In search of Northern light
Can't see the lights at the football field. so we changed location. walked for almost 20 minutes.Nils have a really good talent. He is a walking map. He do not need a map to find the way. He only need to see it once. wow! good to have him when we are traveling.
Nils gave each of us a piece of ice. Took from the roof of buildings.I only ate half of it. too cold for me
SAW THE LIGHTS! Very bright but only for a short while. maybe a minute?
