Checkpoint Race

Maruko: i still thought i looked alright. i walked around in that attire for about 20 mins. i took it off only when the guy took a second look. haha!
Jaime: if i really see an igloo somewhere here, i might be able to answer your question. i will perhaps interview the person on your behalf. (:
Shi min: thanks for coming over! sorry for not being a better host. (: we will go over to Imatra soon!! and return your water bottle. haha! i want to eat curry!!

Due to the bad experience yesterday i thought it would be better if I wore two long sleeve shirt and another jacket. but i was wrong! Today was really sunny and it is the best weather for the checkpoint race.
I have no idea checkpoint race is actually such a big event! Every group came dressing with a theme. Like this group! haha! when they are asked what does their dressing represent, they said "strangers giving candy". indeed they gave me candies.showing off his legthe barbie girl group.
they brought a pram with a radio.

They were talking about going into the waters and now Nils is going towards the water to check the temperature. haha!

We had 10 check point to cover in total.
1: x-factor; two person have to drink the raw egg and the others have to cross the ropes with their hands tied to the other person's leg. i'm the one drinking! it wasn't as bad as i expected. the egg were really fresh and it tasted like the half boiled egg we normally had for breakfast.
2: longest line; i think everyone is familiar with this game. use everything you have on your body to form the longest line. Most of them played it till only their undergarments is left. but of course i didn't.
3: pulling clothes off; i'm the one wearing the jersey and the jumper. my team members have to use all parts of the body except hands to remove the shirts on me. Nadine was really good. She used her teeth to remove the jersey on me. Again, using her teeth, she removed the knot of the jumper that was tied to my waist. we used only 15 seconds and were the fastest!
4: putting string into your clothes and jeans; this was easy to play but difficult to do it. we were all not wearing the right attire for this game! our jeans were too tight for the rope to pass through. i guess most of the time was wasted on FR and me.
5: story telling; we picked some movie which we have never watched before. And then prison break. it is mad's favourite show but i have never watched it before. Finally, snow white. cast: Nardine-snow white, Nils-Witch, me-mirror and dwarf, FR and Peini-dwarfs.
6: left right; there were two wooden boards for us to step on. Using the ropes given, we have to walk towards and back as a group. it was really smooth when we are going towards the other end because Nils is the one leading. but when we are coming back, everything slowed down. My ropes came off and i have to stop the whole group to adjust the ropes back. all this happen because I'M THE ONE LEADING. however we used 3+ mins to complete and were the fastest among the exchange students group.
7: story telling; we were supposed to memorise the items presented on the table and then tell a story using as many items as possible. we had a total of 17 items which was really good. [my story: a mum brought her baby up on the bus. she was drinking coffee. the baby was crying non-stop so the mum gave her a kindersurprise. the crying doesn't stop and somehow the baby was vomiting so the mum gave her the blue bag to vomit. next she open her bag with the lock and took out the panadol for the baby. and the baby was happy again!] i was the last to say and i said about 5 but pei ni was even better. she was the first one and she said almost 7-10 i think. (:
8: draw and guess; somebody in the group and the others have to guess what is it. i'm bad at guessing so no contribution from me.
9: put a condom into the cucumber using only the mouth. hmm.. what can i say... FR and i was really in terrible shape after this game.
10: turning 10 times on the spot with the bat and after that there is a hopscotch. This was really crazy. i was getting a really big headache even before i finish turning. i totally collapse after the hopscotch. Peini even went on to the grass patch. haha! the most dizzy game ever.

Lucky Number Seven!
They don't pronouce 7 as seven. instead they pronounce it as sleven.
Pei ni, Nils, me, FR and Nadine!
A combination of Singaporeans and Germans

Shi min, sook yuen and her taiwanese room mate came to Lappeenranta for the event too! Everyone went to my place even though we have nothing to serve them. felt quite bad about it.Nils taught us german card games called Skat. it was really fun and challenging. the longest game i ever learned. We started at around 7.30pm. and only end the game at about 11.30pm. Although i got a hang of the game, I'm still quite unsure about it.
